What Odin is

Odin is a search-and-synthesis tool. You enter a name, place, or event; Odin runs the query across multiple privacy-respecting search engines, fetches the most relevant pages, and asks Claude (Anthropic) to write a concise profile with cited sources.

What Odin isn't

• Not a chat bot. There's no conversation, no memory, no persona; just one query, one profile.
• Not a search-engine wrapper that hides its sources. Every claim links back to the page it came from.
• Not a content-marketing site. We don't publish articles, opinions, or commentary.

Why this approach

Most "AI answer" tools either summarize a single page or generate prose without showing their work. Odin combines several sources, surfaces a source audit (what was used, what was filtered, what was unreliable), and keeps the answer short enough to read at a glance. The goal is to give you a useful starting point, not a final verdict.
